BARROWBOUND

Refund Policy

Effective date: May 2026  ·  hello@barrowbound.app

We want you to feel confident subscribing to Barrowbound. This policy explains exactly what happens if you want to cancel, request a refund, or something goes wrong on our end.

1. Free Plan

There's nothing to refund on the Free plan — it costs nothing. You can stop using Barrowbound or delete your account at any time with no financial implications.

2. Monthly Gold Subscriptions

If you're on a monthly plan:

3. Annual Gold Subscriptions

If you're on an annual plan:

4. Founding Member and Early Adopter Plans

The same refund terms apply as above for the corresponding billing period. Your discounted rate is locked in as long as your subscription stays active — if you cancel and resubscribe, standard pricing applies.

Tester accounts granted lifetime Gold access as part of Barrowbound's beta programme are not subscriptions and are not billed through Stripe. No refund terms apply to tester accounts as no payment is ever taken.

5. Free Trial

If a 7-day free trial is available when you sign up:

6. When We Will Provide a Refund Outside These Terms

Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to Barrowbound as a service. We will provide a refund regardless of the above if:

In these cases, contact us at hello@barrowbound.app and we'll sort it out fairly.

7. How to Request a Refund

Email hello@barrowbound.app with your account email address, the reason for your request, and the date you were charged. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

8. Chargebacks

If you raise a chargeback with your bank or card provider without contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We'd much rather resolve issues directly — please reach out to us first.

9. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your statutory rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any applicable international consumer protection law. Useful resources: comcom.govt.nz and consumer.org.nz.
